Food Safari / Argentine Foodways

Newly returned from the Patagonia, Laura reveals  in photos and text, the many wonders of the Chilean coast,volcanoes and rainforest.
 Relax in a street side cafe enjoying a "cafe solo" before hitting the clubs and museums of Buenos Aires. Tango anyone? Well, we tried. But Laura did get an A+ in "asado" or Argentine barbeque and picked some winning wines on her horse back tour of the wine country.

For her birthday, Laura chose this rich South American recipe for her celebration cake. Popular all over Argentina, this cake is set apart from many other cakes by it's custardy goodness.  A real winner.
